Absolutely. Your screenshots go directly from your machine to the AI provider's enterprise API. There is no AuditLens server in between. All data stays local on your computer, and you have full control over your API key and can revoke it at any time.

Yes! AuditLens can export complete audit evidence reports as Word documents (.docx). Reports include all screenshots, AI analysis, risk scores, figure numbers, and a summary dashboard. AI-generated workpapers can also be exported to Word with all 5 professional sections. You can also export directly to SharePoint or copy individual evidence items to your clipboard.
What file types can I import for analysis?
Beyond screenshots, AuditLens can ingest Excel (.xlsx/.xls), CSV, PDF, and Word (.docx) files. The Document Ingestion feature parses spreadsheet headers, rows, and metadata, then sends the data to AI for analysis with anomaly detection and narrative generation. You can also use the Bulk Evidence Processor to drop mixed file types at once — AI auto-classifies and groups them by control area.
How does the sampling engine work?
The Sample Testing feature uses a pure-math statistical engine (no AI credits) to compute sample sizes based on your population, confidence level, tolerable error, and expected error rate. It supports random, stratified, and monetary unit sampling methods. You select samples from uploaded documents, track each item's test status (pass/fail/exception), and calculate error rates with extrapolation.
What frameworks are supported?
The Framework Mapper can parse any SOC report or controls matrix — AI extracts individual controls with IDs, descriptions, types, and CUEC flags. The Workpaper Generator supports SOX, SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and Custom frameworks. How does the PII redaction work?
AuditLens automatically scans screenshot text for 8 types of PII including SSNs, credit card numbers (Luhn-validated), emails, phone numbers, IP addresses, and API keys. Detected items are highlighted for review, and you choose to redact with black overlay, blur, or pixelate. Every redaction is logged in a compliance audit trail. You can also draw manual redaction regions.
Does it integrate with SharePoint?
Yes. AuditLens connects to SharePoint Online via Microsoft Graph API using secure device code authentication. You can bulk-export evidence files or Word documents to any SharePoint site and document library, with automatic folder organization by system or date. Your Azure AD admin provides the client ID, and authentication is handled securely.
